To be successful in this role you will:
- Hold a valid driver’s licence
- Have experience of knowledge of Road Ranger or Automatic gearboxes
You may be performing the following duties but not limited to:
- Attending to daily checking of the vehicle including oil, water, fuel, air pressure, safety concerns and equipment security, road user charge license, hub odometer readings etc
- planning routes and meeting delivery schedules o weigh the truck before and after it is loaded o supervise or help with loading the truck
- check the condition of the load and that it is secure o follow correct health and safety procedures
- keep records of, and check invoices for, goods you carry o plan the best delivery route
- pick-ups and making deliveries o keep a logbook of the hours you work
We require you to:
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be able to follow instructions
- Take pride in your work, and look after your truck
- Permanent role – minimum guaranteed hours per week is 30 hours. You will be required to work 30 or more hours per week. You will be rotated between day and night shifts in the weekdays.
- The minimum and maximum hourly rate is $29.66 per hour.
- You may be required to work in the weekend.
- No criminal conviction
Please note: Passing regular drug and alcohol testing (including pre-employment testing) will be required, as is having the right to live and work in New Zealand.
